Fourth Lake Natural Area

Fourth Lake Preserve was donated to MMLC in 2017 and contains over 7.5 acres of land along Fourth Lake. The property is primarily forested with high biological diversity and protects over 800 feet of shoreline along the lake. There are no maintained trails on the property and no parking area exists at this time.

What makes this preserve special?

This property protects fish and wildlife habitat by keeping the shoreline along Fourth Lake undisturbed. No formal survey has been conducted at this time but there are indications that this natural area is biologically diverse.

Preserve Guidelines

Stay on trails.
This helps prevent erosion problems and protects delicate wildflowers and other plants from being trampled.

Take your trash with you when you leave.
As a non-profit with an extremely small staff, we are not able to maintain trash cans at our preserves.

Respect wildlife.
Please keep dogs on 6-foot long leashes at all times and do not allow them to chase wildlife. Even chipmunks deserve a break!
